We're going to have a Summer full of fun adventures

Join us for our Verano de Aventuras Summer Camps!

Aventuras is excited to offer Spanish Immersion in-person Summer Camps in San Francisco in June, July and August. Just like our After School Program, our "Verano de Aventuras" is based on Experiential Learning and offers -each week- a combination of fun and interactive activities in the areas of visual arts, STEM, music & movement, mindfulness, and culture & community.

Our Summer Camps are open to children ages 5 - 11.

** JANUARY 2022 UPDATE **

We will be offering Summer Camps this summer, at both locations: Mission and Noe Valley. We'll be following the City and the Department of Public Health (DPH) directive for Out Of School Time Programs (which include summer camp providers), and even tough they have not released their directives for Summer 2022, we expect the directives to be similar to the ones currently in place:

  • no limit on the number of kids per cohort, including staff members

  • no minimum in terms of session duration

  • follow disinfecting and cleaning guidelines as published by the CDC, the Health Department and other agencies

  • require that all children wear a mask or face covering approved by the CDC

  • require visual health screenings every day for kids and staff before entering the program

  • require that parents/guardians keep social distance and mask-wearing when dropping off and picking-up their kids, and at all times while outside their home

We'll be offering 1-week sessions from Monday, June 6th. through Friday, August 12th.

Our Summer Camp hours are 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. Before-camp care is available between 8:30 and 9:30 am for an additional fee.

Cost is $525 for each 1-week session, $1,000 when you book two (2) 1-week sessions

Before-camp care cost is $60/week

Since we are fortunate to have indoor and outdoor spaces at both locations, we are able to offer a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. We will also have one field trip per week, to a local park/large open space, such as Glen Park Canyon, Stern Grove, Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, and McLaren Park for hiking, nature explorations and lots of games. On field trip days children need to be dropped off and picked up at those locations, as we are not able to offer transportation to/from our locations to/from the field trip location.

This is our sample schedule for a regular camp day:

8:30 - 9:30 am - early care, supervised free time (for an additional fee)

9:30 - 10 am - arrival at our location, supervised free time

10:00 - 10:30 am - community and mindfulness circle, and introduction to the daily activities

10:30 - 10:50 am - morning snack (please send a healthy morning snack)

10:50 am - 12:20 pm - morning Experiential Learning activities

12:20 - 2:00 pm - lunch at the patio, supervised outdoor free playtime and guided games

2:00 - 3:15 - afternoon Experiential Learning activities

3:15 - 3:30 - afternoon snack (we will provide a healthy afternoon snack)

3:30 - 4:00 pm - supervised free playtime and guided games (indoor/outdoor)

4:15 - 4:30 pm - pick-up

 

Specific dates and locations for field trip days will be shared a week before the beginning of your booked session.

 

ENROLLMENT

We use a tiered system for open enrollment dates:

  • Tier 1 - Our current after-school families get the highest priority. Enrollment is now open.

  • Tier 2 - Previously enrolled families, both in after school and Summer Camps. Enrollment opens February 12.

  • Tier 3 - The general public. Enrollment opens February 28​.

Following the above dates, and in order to begin the enrollment process please review, fill out, sign, and send back the following documents to info@aventurassf.com:

Once these documents are received and reviewed, and if there are spots available, you'll be offered a spot and you'll receive a confirmation of enrollment email along with an invoice, and a Waivers & Releases document to sign and send back. We'll do our best to get back to you within 5 business days, but please know that it might take up to 10 business days for us to send you a confirmation email. Keep in mind that, if you're in tiers 2 or 3 but you send us your application before the open enrollment day for that tier, we won't review your application until after that tier's enrollment date, therefore we appreciate you follow the dates above based on your specific case. 

Enrollment is not final until payment is received. If you send all signed documents but fail to submit payment by the due date stated on the invoice, your spot(s) will be released to a family on the wait list.

 

Spots are limited, if sessions you've applied for are sold out by the time you send us the documents, you'll be placed on the wait list and notified of your child(ren)'s place on the list.

We offer our Summer Camp at two locations: Mission and Noe Valley. Pending on availability, children will be placed at one of these two locations based on their age and gender; we try to keep groups as balanced as possible to offer all campers a great experience. Siblings will be placed at the same location, unless requested otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

  • No change/modification fees. Family can change to another available session and pay only the difference in session price, if any.

  • In the event the session needs to be cancelled due to health advisories, you will receive full credit for a future session/program, or a full refund minus a $50 processing fee.

  • Cancellations: a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee if cancellation is received no later than 4 weeks before the start of the session. You can cancel the session up to two weeks before the session starts and receive full credit to re-book for any future session/program.

  • All credits must be used by Sept 1, 2023 and can be used for another family member.
